Time for another installment in our adventures in moving to Colorado. It's late so this won't be a large installment, but hopefully a useful one into our thinking about our move.

One important aspect about our move will be our pets. Right now that means two dogs, two horses and one cat. Eventually that might mean only one horse, but the horse will probably be one of the most important factors in choosing a location in Colorado.

Being that today is the first day of fall, I think it would be a good idea for me to do some research on what it is like in Colorado in the fall. I'll update this thread with information as I gather it throughout the day.

Check out some photos on the full post.

So as we prepare to move we will be compiling a list of wants/dreams/must haves for purchasing our first home. To get started I read some interesting information that I wouldn't have thought of on a forum this evening. So here is the continually compiled list of things for the house that would be good to have

If you were moving to Colorado, where would you choose to live? Please be sure to post why you pick where you pick. If you don't tell us why, it will be hard to sell us on a specific location.

Here are some of the requirements for our hunting for a location in Colorado.

Another item we will take into consideration when moving to Colorado is the political climate of the various areas we look at. At some point in the future I would like to run for office, I don't know what office, but I am sure it will depend on what we find for the political climate of the various areas. I am sure this will take a little bit of research, and possibly talking to folks within the communities in order to gather the necessary information, but I think this will be an important part of picking out a location for us to settle down.

With the upcoming elections I will definitely be keeping an eye on what happens in Colorado, what the various issues of interest are, and how the voting winds up.

So you might wonder, why are we planning on moving. Days like today are why. It was in the upper 80s today, which in itself wouldn't be too bad, but the humidity was high all day long, with more of the same scheduled for tomorrow.

The weather here in Missouri is one of the main reasons we're planning on moving. Personally, I am sick and tired of the humidity, as I believe Natalie is also. We're looking forward to better weather in the summers in Colorado, and then hopefully beautiful winters as well!
